There are stems that fill a vase, and there are stems that transform one. Our Faux Green Weeping Amaranthus is firmly in the second category. From a single slender green stem, dozens of thread-like tendrils cascade downward in a sweeping, waterfall-like arc — each one strung with hundreds of tiny, densely packed sage-green nodules that give the whole structure a remarkable, almost tactile texture. Up close, each tendril resembles a miniature string of botanical beads, every nodule slightly fuzzy and irregular, as though dusted with the finest green velvet. From a distance, the overall effect is of a living curtain of the most extraordinary green — soft, moving, and impossibly alive.

At 25 inches tall with a 36cm cascading drop, this stem has a presence that is entirely its own. It works beautifully as a dramatic cascading element over the edge of a tall vase, where the tendrils can fall freely and create a sweeping, asymmetric silhouette. It is equally striking in a wide, low bowl where the arching stem can be appreciated in full, or as a single stem in a narrow glass cylinder where the weeping form becomes the entire composition. We recommend purchasing 3–5 stems to create a full, lush display with the kind of cascading, botanical drama that only a weeping amaranthus can deliver.
