Each stem carries a single large, domed flower head composed of dozens of individual four-petalled florets in the deepest, most saturated burgundy — a colour so richly complex that it shifts between deep wine-red, plum, and near-black depending on the light, with each petal marked by fine dark veining that deepens toward the centre and gives every floret the most extraordinary, velvety depth.
